Summer Solstice: Salute the Sun.
A special workshop to honour the peak of the solar year. The Summer Solstice is a powerful time of light, energy, and abundance. We will harness this vibrant energy through a dedicated practice celebrating the sun, our ultimate source of life and vitality.
This flowing workshop will weave together movement, breath, and sound to cultivate inner radiance and balance.
What to Expect:
Exploring Surya Namaskar: Dive deep into the heart of the practice as we explore variations of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations). We'll break down the classical sequence and play with different styles, allowing you to find the version that best resonates with your body's unique rhythm.
Chanting the Gayatri Mantra: Connect with the ancient, purifying energy of the Gayatri Mantra, a powerful invocation to the divine light of the sun. We will chant together to illuminate our consciousness and expand our awareness.
Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing): To harmonise the solar and lunar energies within, we will conclude with Nadi Shodhana. This balancing pranayama technique calms the nervous system, clears the mind, and integrates the vibrant energy we've cultivated.
Solstice Yoga Nidra: The practice will culminate in a deep period of rest and integration. I will guide you through a specially themed Solstice Yoga Nidra, a meditative journey of conscious relaxation. This will allow your body and mind to absorb the fruits of your practice, integrating the sun's powerful energy as you rest in profound stillness.
This workshop is an opportunity to align yourself with the powerful rhythms of nature and to step into the second half of the year with clarity, purpose, and a luminous spirit.

Time: 3-5:30pm AZOT (Azores Time) * Note for Online Guests: This is 1 hour behind London (BST) and 2 hours behind Central Europe (CEST) and 4 hours ahead of East Coast US and Canada (EST)
In-Person Location: Biblioteca Municipal, Santa Maria, Azores.
Online Location: Live via Zoom (Link sent the morning of the workshop).
